Before joining the IEOR Career Management Team, Gerald worked for two NYC nonprofits, where he recruited, trained, coordinated, and cultivated hundreds of volunteers; managed city-wide projects and events; and oversaw social, educational, and community programming for adults. Before that, he taught English conversation in Mexico, South Korea, and the US.
Gerald has a BA in Foreign Languages from Eastern Illinois University and is pursuing an MA in Adult Learning and Leadership at Teachers College of Columbia University, where he's mastering how to design, facilitate, and evaluate learning initiatives for individuals, organizations, and communities. He is also the Vice President of Community for the Organizational Leadership Association at Teachers College.
